Well that’s it now, holidays are here, and we are away from work for the next two and a half weeks as we are on annual leave 😀
We’ve not got a holiday booked as such as we have decided to put this year’s holiday savings towards a trip to Chicago next year to see my cousin Julie who has been there for the past seven years. My cousin made the effort to come out to Jamaica last September/October to spend some time with us for my 50th and I promised to travel out to the US to see her and her family.
It’s a shame that we are not off to sunnier climate this year however it’ll make next year’s trip all the sweeter.
We’ve had a lazy weekend, watched ‘Skyfall‘ again yesterday afternoon as it was a wet day then I went off to the pub to watch Manchester United’s opening game against Swansea. Today Sunday we went over to see our friends as it was their sons birthday on Friday, then we called into see some other friends on the way back.
Tomorrow we are heading off to Coniston in the English Lake District with a walk around Tarn Howes on the agenda. Coniston Water is one of my favourite places in the Lake District.
Tuesday we are out in the afternoon with Sam, Matt and Harry. Then for the rest of the week there are no definite plans.
So as holidays are here, watch this space to see what we get up to.
