Ca’ Savio: Treporti, Adriatic Coast – 2007

Ca’ Savio: Treporti, Adriatic Coast – 2007

We enjoyed our time at Ca’ Savio that much last year we booked to return this following year. Not with my parents though but this time my brother (Rob), his wife (Sarah) and son (Will) who joined us as well as my eldest lad Drew.

We opted for two, 2-bedroom caravans with decking this time next to each other.

Flights were booked but this time we flew from Manchester to Marco Polo (Venice main airport) with Jet2, cheaper than the previous year as the cost was £95 return each but we did book them in September the year before. The flights from Manchester to Marco Polo were OK but we did prefer the flights from Liverpool to Treviso as both Liverpool and Treviso were much quieter airports.

Two cars were booked via HolidayAutos again.

Still a great site to visit and we would definitely recommend this site to anyone who wants a beach holiday with the family but still have the access to Venice.

We had the usual trip to Venice as a group of eight of us via the ferry at Punta Sabbioni. Another trip we took was reconnaissance expedition to Lake Garda and another Eurocamp site at the base of Lake Garda close to a town called Peschiera del Garda. This was for the following year. The drive to Lake Garda took just over 2 hours to cover the 120 miles (most of this was motorway). The trip however was well worth the drive. We found the site we wanted to stay at (Bella Italia, Lake Garda, Italian Lakes) and even managed to get them to allow us to park on the campsite all day for FREE while we explored the area on foot.

The rest of the holiday was spent on the beach at Ca’ Savio as the weather was warm and the Adriatic welcoming.

All in all, this was a great holiday with my brother and his family.
