Again, another improvement since buying the bungalow in 2007, we’ve had a log-burner installed in the Livingroom.
Wow what a great additional to the house, the log burner we bought was a Morso Badger and it gives off an impressive amount of heat.
Installed within a day and operational almost immediately. All we needed to do was get some wood to burn. Lucky for us there is a local farmer who during the summer months works for the Forestry Commission and stores wood in his barns for resale the following year.
Buying a trailer load of seasoned wood works out at £100 (2017 prices), now the need for somewhere to store it. Lucky for us one of our friends Darren has a log burner too & helped me build a log store in the garden out of four wooden pallets. All sorted now for the on-coming winter months to help reduce the gas usage.
