Lazy Day

Covid Holidays Day Three – Wet and household chores

Morning

Wet and household chores day today as the weather forecast was not so good.

After the exertions yesterday in Blackpool we had an extremely late start today and chose to catch-up with some TV while we sat in bed and had a brew (cup of tea to non-Northerners.

Michele has found a couple of new shows on Sky TV that she thinks we’ll like. The usual police/fire and rescue dramas from America. We also managed to watch an episode of the remake of All Creatures Great and Small from the stories by James Heriott. A vet in the Yorkshire Dales.

Lunch

Down to earth with a bump. We’ve eaten out the past two days while enjoying our staycation during our Covid Holidays. But not today a couple of poached eggs on toast with a nice black coffee to wash it down.

Afternoon

As it was wet and household chores needed doing, we set about keeping ourselves busy this afternoon. I even found time to tidy up some of my old blog posts on my website. Some planning was also being carried out for next week’s travel plans with possibility that we may take a trip down to Cornwall. We could end up going to the Eden Project close to St Austell, but first we need to find some accommodation. We’ve been looking towards Padstow and Newquay but even at this time of year accommodation is still quite expensive.

Tomorrow is going t have to be an early start though as Michele has to be at the Spire Hospital on the far side of Warrington to us for 08:30 sharp. Hopefully for her to be signed off from the consultant for her eye. Then as promised she can have a shopping day. Those of you that know Michele know that shopping days are the highlight to her holidays.
