I have had 2 Season Tickets in the ‘J’ Stand (now known as the North/East Quadrant) since season 1990/91. I got the tickets after many years ofandnbsp;attending Old Trafford as and when I could to watch football. I attended with my Uncle Harry for the 1990/91 season but now my children all take it in turns to attendandnbsp;home fixtures.
The best players that I have seen are George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, Peter Schmeichel, Roy Keane, Paul Scholesandnbsp;and Cristiano Ronaldo.
My favourite games have been the following
- UEFA Champions Cup 26thandnbsp;May 1999 at the Nou Camp Stadium, Barcelona. I was one of 90,000 spectators to see United go a goal down within theandnbsp;1standnbsp;5 minutes against Bayern Munich, only to witness a dramatic equaliser from Teddy Sheringham in the 90thandnbsp;minute and then the winner from Oleandnbsp;Gunnar Solskjaer (AGAIN, as with the Liverpool game below) in the 92ndandnbsp;minute to confirm MANCHESTER UNITED AS CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE.
- European Cup Winners Cup 15thandnbsp;May 1991 when we beat Barcelona 2-1 at the Stadion Feijenoord in Rotterdam, with 2 class goals from Markandnbsp;Hughes (Sparky). This was my wife’s one and only away game.
- First FA Premier League Title (last home game) 3rdandnbsp;May 1993 when we played and beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1 with goals from Pallister, Inceandnbsp;andandnbsp;Giggs. Fantastic atmosphere due to not winning the Football League Division One/FA Premier League Title since 1967.
- FA Cup 4thandnbsp;Round home tie on Sunday 24thandnbsp;January 1999 when we overcame Liverpool by 2-1. We had been behind by 0-1 since Michael Owenandnbsp;scored for Liverpool in the 3rdandnbsp;minute, until Dwight Yorke made it 1-1 with 2 minutes left and then Ole Gunnar Solskjaerandnbsp;made it 2-1 in the last-minute. Drew my son came with me to this game and at 9 years old must have been a great atmosphere for him as we were sat close to the Liverpool fans.
