Barely 48 hours after MCFC lifted the Premier League trophy and the football world is having to make apologies and refuse to make apologies for the actions of certain players.
Joey Barton was sent off on Sunday against MCFC for violent conduct as seen by the linesman, barely had the referee raised the red card for what in other games could have been ignored as not seen, he went on a one-man war with the MCFC players. Aguero was knee’d/kicked from behind as Barton slyly snook past him on his way off the pitch, then the so-called ‘hard man of football attempted to head-butt MCFC’s Kompany as they too seemed to clash. Again, as he was being escorted off the pitch by MCFC’s Richards he was also seen to square up to Mario Ballateli another bad boy of our beautiful game.
Following this Barton then went on a tweet rampage aimed at some of England’s previous greats Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, if he’d had done a quarter of what they achieved in their careers I’d have given him some credit but he hasn’t.
Well done, Joey, time to grow up, I think.
Then today QPR owner Tony Fernandes has gone on record and said that QPR will have to look at what effect this has on the brand. So, what does the future hold for Joey Barton?
Then last night at what seemed to be a very well attended celebration parade for MCFC Tevez decided to hold up a poster saying “RIP Fergie”. How poorly advised is this stupid and pathetic Argentine idiot?
It was clear to see that the remainder of the MCFC players had distanced themselves from what could only be classed as a poor judgement of character.
MCFC have made a public statement unreservedly apologising for what was broadcast around the world. Well done City but what else does this horrible man have to do to drag your club down and on such a special night for you?
Some in the media have suggested that Tevez will not have known what was written on the poster as he can’t read or speak English, but from the stupid grin on his face he clearly knew what he was doing. Others have also played it down by referring it to a response to what Sir Alex said earlier in the season in that “MCFC would never win the Premier League in his lifetime”
Whatever was in Tevez’s mind at the time now could be another boiling point when these 2 great teams meet next season.
What will the summer of football hold for these 2 fools and others like them?
