Fashionably Late: Confessions of a Procrastinating Blogger

2 Weeks Late But Better Late Than Never

A Cheeky Catch-Up

Well, well, well. Look who’s fashionably late to the party! Yours truly, with a tardy blog post just two weeks behind schedule. But hey, they say good things come to those who wait, right? And I must say, I’ve missed our little online rendezvous. Seems like I’m not the only one, with a few eager beavers bemoaning the absence of their weekly dose of wit and wisdom.

Blame It on the Snow?

Now, before we dive into the nitty-gritty, let’s address the elephant in the room – or should I say, the snowflake? Rumour has it, the culprit behind my blog’s brief hiatus might just be the frosty embrace of winter. The Met Office flashed its amber warnings, foretelling apocalyptic snowstorms. Alas, up here in the North West, we dodged the icy bullet, but our friends down south weren’t so lucky. Snow day for them, mojitos by the fireplace for us.

Football Follies and Season Ticket Woes

Ah, the beautiful game. Or not so beautiful, depending on which side of the pitch you’re on. Lewis and I braved the chill at Old Trafford, witnessing the Red Devils triumph over our sworn enemies, Liverpool, followed by a midweek slog against West Ham in the FA Cup. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t exactly a riveting spectacle. Perhaps it’s time to reconsider renewing those season tickets next year. Football should bring joy, not frostbite and financial woes.

Heroes and Zeroes: The Lance Armstrong Saga

In the realm of sports, heroes often walk a tightrope between adoration and condemnation. Case in point: Lance Armstrong. Once hailed as a cycling deity, he’s now fallen from grace, admitting to doping his way to Tour de France glory. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. As for me, I’ll be taking my admiration elsewhere, thank you very much.

Work Shenanigans and REVIT Revelations

On the professional front, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride. Work sealed the deal with Autodesk, opening the floodgates to a world of CAD wonders. It’s like Christmas came early for us design aficionados. Plus, three days of REVIT training on the horizon? Sign me up!

Family Affairs and Culinary Conquests

Enough about work, let’s talk family. Daughter dearest and her beau, Matt, are one step closer to nesting in their dream home. Fingers crossed for a smooth sailing on the property front. And speaking of familial matters, my grandson is finally shaking off that pesky whooping cough. Here’s to a speedy recovery and plenty of mischief ahead.

Now, let’s switch gears to the culinary escapades. Ah, the slow-cooker – a kitchen marvel if there ever was one. Tonight’s culinary masterpiece? Pulled pork and rice, slow-cooked to perfection. The aroma alone could make angels weep with joy. Who needs Michelin stars when you’ve got a humble slow-cooker?

Until Next Time…

And with that tantalising whiff of slow-cooked goodness, I bid you adieu – for now. Fear not, dear readers, for I shall return with more tales from the trenches of life, love, and everything in between. Until next time, stay cheeky!
