Today we helped move our middle son into his new flat in Salford, which means we are down to one child left at home. We had a few tears off Michele in the morning before we set off to meet ‘our little BIG Chef’ at his new flat and then a lot more as we drove away and settled down at home without the BIG daft one in our home. However we still have one young man at home, Joshua. I’m sure he’ll miss his BIG brother not being here too.
Lewis has changed jobs and left The Radisson Blu, hotel in Manchester & started a new job as Chef de Party at Cau, Media City, Salford. Cau is a new restaurant opening up at Media City, Salford that embraces Argentinian Cuisine. They already have 15 restaurants across the UK & the one opening at Media City will be their 16th.
Michele has decorated the house ready for Christmas, with the tree and decorations all now up. We better get the presents wrapped too now I suppose.
The Christmas parties are coming quick and fast, my first one with Team Whatmuff was a week last friday which was a couple of beers around the Northern Quarter area of Manchester. We called into Terrace, Lower Turks Head, Smithfield Market Tavern, Crown & Kettle and the final one was the Castle on Oldham Street.
Michele had her one and only Christmas party on Thursday past at hotel Innside.
My second one will be this Thursday coming at Macdonald Hotel, Manchester and I’m really looking forward to it.
And then there will be my third and final one which will be the usual lunch-time pint with curry half n half with the ‘Old Boys’. We sometimes manage to drag this one out to the whole afternoon out but a couple of us have run out of holidays, so it’ll be just a lunch time gathering for me.
Manchester United have had a bad week this week after being beaten in the Champions Group stage which meant they finished 3rd in the group and then being beaten away at Bournemouth 2-1. Will Louis Van Gall find the winning formula and get United back on the winning track?
