March Mayhem: A Month-long Carnival of Celebrations

March Mayhem: Celebrations Galore in the Cleary Household!

A Birthday Bonanza Like No Other

March is a month when our family calendar resembles a colorful fireworks display – bursting with celebrations and joy! It’s a merry-go-round of cakes, laughter, and more cakes. Let me take you on a whirlwind tour of the festivities that had us dancing, dining, and even witnessing a magician’s charms.

The Birthday Roll Call

It all kicks off with a bang, or should I say, a birthday song, for my Father-in-law, Ronnie. Then, like dominoes, the celebrations cascade through March. Joshua, my youngest son, takes the spotlight next, followed by a pair of mischievous twins, Liam and Tom, belonging to none other than my cousin Debbie. Cousin Julie is next on the list The birthday parade continues with shouts for my Dad, my eldest son Drew, and climaxes with a double treat for two more cousins, Kay and Jackie. Phew! March, are you sure you’re ready for this?

A Sneaky Soiree for David’s 50th

Just when we thought the confetti had settled, we received an invitation that was the epitome of cunning elegance. A surprise 50th birthday party for our friend David at The Pavilion Bar and Bistro in Bury. Black tie, of course. Bev, the mastermind behind the plot, concocted a fake invitation to throw David off the scent. The evening unfolded with laughter, magic, and a feast fit for royalty.

Delectable Delights and Magical Moments

The culinary escapade featured Michele diving into the depths of squid, followed by a poultry interlude, and concluding with a symphony of cheeses. Yours truly opted for a dance of flavors with pate leading, lamb following, and a grand finale of jaffa cake. The conversation flowed like fine wine as we reconnected with long-lost acquaintances. And if that wasn’t enchanting enough, a magician and a solo singer sprinkled their magic, topped off with a dazzling display of fireworks to bid the night adieu.

Designated Driver Diaries

With Michele as our gallant designated driver, we navigated the night, arriving home fashionably late at 01:15. Thanks, Beverley, for the invite, and David, we’re pretty sure those sneaky efforts didn’t go unnoticed.

Mother’s Day Madness

As if the birthday bonanza wasn’t enough, the weekend gracefully segued into Mother’s Day. Early risers, we ventured across the road to my mother-in-law’s, basking in familial warmth. Then, it was off to Timperley to revel in a dual celebration – Mother’s Day with my mum and belated birthday cheers for Dad and Drew.

A Football Fan’s Delight

Back home, we settled in just in time to witness the theatrical spectacle at Old Trafford. Manchester United, our pride and joy, secured a triumphant 3-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur, fortifying their grip on the Premier League’s third position.

Wrapping Up the Festivities

And now, as the curtain descends on this weekend fiesta, we prepare to bid adieu to the leisure of celebration and embrace the imminent return to the grindstone. But worry not, dear March, your memory will linger in the form of laughter, magic, and a slew of delightful moments.
