Two days until Christmas

It’s now only two days until Christmas.

The Christmas festivities have stepped up a gear, we had the main Manchester office Christmas party on Thursday. A ‘black tie’ gathering of about 140 of the Manchester Office staff came together at The Midland Hotel to celebrate the holiday period. It was a great night of good food (yes the food was excellent especially as the event was catering for about 700 guests – so hats off to the team in the kitchen), great wines and beers, conversation and for those that wanted to dancing.

Friday lunch required that the lads iandnbsp;work closely with had to endure a couple of pints of Boondoogle in the Bulls Head as a pick me up.

Then tomorrow Iandnbsp;have a gathering of the ‘old boys’ for the annual Christmas get-together at The Rising Sun, just off Deansgateandnbsp;Manchester for a few ales and food. It seems like ages ago that iandnbsp;last caught up with some of my old colleagues. There will be Hamlin, Andrew, Pete, Steve, Paul, Phil and myself there from noon until Michele collects me on her way home from work 🙂

Then its into the office for the last day of work on Christmas Eve with a break from the office that will see me through to the 6th January. A break well deserved I think 🙂

The weekend has flown by, we had a spot of shopping on Saturday. A trip to COSTCOandnbsp;was needed to top up the larder before we have the family round for Christmas dinner.

Then today sunday – a day of rest I hear you say – well not for me. I’ve cleaned the insides of our windows, put some solar lights up in the rear garden, steam cleaned the wooden floors, filled the car up with diesel and posted my blog. Now I can rest.

What ever you are doing over the Christmas period remember to have a relaxing but enjoyable time.
